So, there you have it, another great and affordable Xiaomi phone – The redmi note 4.

After using it for a few weeks, I absolutely enjoy a flagship-grade build quality, nice and sharp display, user interface that has tons of features and it quite fast on the daily basis. Also, the phone can handle 3D games on the highest graphics with just a few skipped frames, which is a huge bonus for a cheap phone like this.

Ohh, and the battery life is great…. but it would have been nice if Xiaomi included a fast charger in the box.

The only downside would be the image quality. I just feel that this phone’s camera can take slightly better images and having reviewed a lot of Xiaomi phones, I’m pretty sure we will see a software upgrade to improve the image quality.

A lot of people keep asking me if it is worth upgrading to this phone if they already have the Redmi Note 3. My answer is no, since the Redmi Note 4 is just an incremental upgrade. In fact, if you have the Redmi Note 3 Pro model with the Snapdragon 650 chip, it may be even a slightly better phone overall.

On the other hand, if you don’t have the Redmi Note 3 and you are looking for a budget phone that does not really have any major shortcomings, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is a fantastic smartphone for the price and it can be definitely recommended, despite a few shortcomings.
