SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 4 GB MP3 Player by SanDisk Unbox and Review.

Major plus features:

Store up to 1000 songs on internal memory expandable to at least 32GB (not
included with the player) giving you up 9000 songs total storage space on the 4 GB
or 8500 songs total storage space on the 2 GB Sansa+ Clip. You can select songs
on the internal and expanded memory slot on the unit.

This is solid-state flash memory which means reliable skip-free playback

Memory card slot for pre-loaded cards (Slot radio) Will include links to this in the
description.

Digital FM tuner with 40 presets (which you can record in stereo wav format at 22,400
khz) which you can
play back on the player or download to your computer and listen to it there. I recorded
1 1/2 hours of FM and it only used 517 MB so you can record approx 10+ hours.
Didn’t sound bad at all.

Voice recording with built in mic (mono wav format at 22,400 khz) which is good
quality and downloadable to your computer.

Audio books can be downloaded to the player and a major bonus is that the speed
they play at can be sped up or slowed down. Amazing.

A large, bright, easy-to-read OLED screen and searchable menus make it easy to
choose play lists or songs.

Long-life rechargeable battery offers up to 15 hours of continuous playback.

Built-in clip for easy carrying

Weighs 0.8 ounces and is a tiny 2.2 x 1.4 x 0.6 inches or 22.6grams 55mm X 35mm
X 15mm

Supports the most popular audio formats, including MP3, WMA, secure WMA,
Audible, Ogg Vorbis, and FLAC.

Awesome sound quality you can shape with the built in graphic equalizer. Also has
cool sound level meter

Volume is massive in this little player. It’s amazing how much volume this little
package can deliver.

The volume and power buttons are easy to use and handle.

Light and small player with a rugged and tough casing. I washed my Sansa clip+
2Gig in the washer and it still works. Tough!

Cons:

Built in battery is not replaceable.

Clip can be snapped off. I used a velcro to fix that problem

RubyTuesday Fla says:

Well I just wanted to say thanks for your video!! I just got mine today, came from Amazon the 8gb one and have been very frustrated all freakin day because I couldn’t get mine to do anything!! So I just let it plugged into my laptop and thought I’ll have to send it back, A few mins ago I decided to ck out YT and see who had it and maybe I was doing something wrong and clicked on your video. So I noticed yours came with a disk, mine didn’t and yours  had a shiny screen, mine wasn’t like that. All I had was a pic of headphones, the word music and battery pic, no matter what I pushed and screen wasn’t as shiny as yours soooooo LOL Dummy me moved my nail around the screen area and yep, off came the lil plastic cover over the screen!!!!! WOW how stupid right?? LOL So now I’m playing a radio station and the sound is great and since it’s late I can go to sleep in peace laughing at myself! I’ll check out the rest of your video tomorrow. Thank you!!! 🙂

Can you put files in separate folders and sub folders on a pc, transfer them to the Sansa Clip and browse the folders & files? I don’t seem to be able to do this on the Sansa M250, which makes it useless for mixed music and podcast folders.

Eric Hallman says:

I had my first one for over a year and it worked great but I did have a few scratches on the face of it, then I lost it on a bike ride (in the rain and did not have it on) I liked it so much that I purchased another one.  I did not want scratches in my new one so I had photodon.com cut me a screen protector for it and it fits perfect.

Luke Lambert says:

Should i get this?

goltur51 says:

I have one question. I’m considering buying the Sansa Clip+ but I need to know if it has a specific shuffling functionality: can you shuffle songs in a playlist?

Richard Lloyd says:

@Myth S No problems with it. I broke the clip off the back but that was not a manufacturing defect but a user defect 🙂 I hot glued an alligator clip on it and that works fine. I ran my player through a wash dry cycle as well and it still works great. I love this player and recommend it highly. Thanks

Jasmin Rembert says:

How do I download music to this mp3 player

08waltew says:

Hi again Richard

i was wondering if it’d be possible to have say multiple sd cards then interchange them whenever?
its just that my music library is around 150GB and i wouldn’t want to buy a different player.
so if i bought like 4x 32GB cards then if i wanted to listen to music on a different card if it’d be possible to switch them around easily?

Samuel Goodall says:

I can’t wait to buy one of these. They support FLAC and you can insert an SD card. What more could you want lol

MELEDITH L. says:

FOR THE PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE SOUND NOT BEING LOUD ENOUGH. I RAN INTO SOME ENGLISH SITES TALKING ABOUT THIS SAME PROBLEM.   I DON’T HAVE THIS PLAYER (YET) AND I CAN’T REALLY REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS SAID EXACTLY, BUT THERE IS SOME SETTINGS YOU HAVE TO LOOK FOR WHERE THE DB. IS SET…?  NEED TO SET IT TO USA!  EUROPE AND OTHER COUNTRIES HAVE A LIMIT ON THE LOUDNESS TO PROTECT THEIR PEOPLE’S EAR!   I HOPE THIS HELP AND SOMEBODY CAN REPEAT IT THE CORRECT WAY LOL.   P.S. YOU CAN ALSO MAKE YOUR SONGS LOUDER AND EVEN SOUNDING, WITH MP3 GAIN FREEWARE CHEERS!

Alamodem says:

Hey Richard. I listen to audio books 95% of the time, I read somewhere the hipstreet players will not play in the order they are copied onto the unit in.  The spot I read said it will just play them in alphabetical order.  Im looking at the Pheonix 8 gig one, but unfortunately there is little to no information on it.

Altair Ramar says:

Weird, the link you give for Amazon show’s the 4gb is $12 more than the 8gb one. Wonder why? Anyway, I bought the 8gb one. Hope I get a good one after reading lots of reviews.I liked your video but would have liked to hear about FM functions and best way to cut & paste so that songs show up on player as song & artists names, not numbers as a lot of people state.

ALEXIFREDI says:

Hello Everyone,,

Which it’s better Sansa Clip Sport or Sansa Clip +?

I mind the performance, speed, and of course sound quality…. I really dont care about colour screen or albumArt showed info or AAC files support..

Even I dont believe the difference they say about battery life, which they say in LCD color screen “up to 25 hours” instead OLED monchrome “up to 15 hours”

Thanks in advance for the replys,,, I´m looking forward to buy one soon 🙂

dlugidzony says:

at the beginning you sound like tom hanks:) You have simmilar voice

Cameron Bowen-Humphreys says:

To be honest I’m very disappointed that it’s only lasted a year. False advertisement, constantly malfunctions and I uses it regularly. Don’t care to buy another. Terrible hardware makes it fragile, any response to a bit of inertia it glitches and crashes. I was told it was to last substantially longer than that, or why’d you have 8 gig on it, I was pleased initially, but now it can nearly sustain 120 songs, none of which is corrupted but. But I’d happily use it as a use for storing data because I’d be exploiting the use of it’s compatibility. I don’t want to argue this was mutual. But it’s probably the hardware, circuit board interpretation it conductivity problem with the DC power supply.

David W says:

I’m looking for something that will stay in my car, already setup with dual RCA jacks to car stereo and 3.5mm to dual RCA jacks cable. Will this play music library randomly and continuously? Will it power up/down with car ignition? Thanks in advance. 🙂

Algirdas Niuniavas says:

what about radio quality?

David Suárez says:

Is this compatible with a 64 GB micros card? thanks!

Dhiren Sonawane says:

Hey Richard! Great vid. I’m from India and its for around 50-60 USD on amazon here whereas its only 30 USD in America….should i take the plunge and pay almost double? Its not cheaper than 55 USD anywhere here..

Alan Joshua says:

Very nice review.
My main use is audiobooks. You mention audible. So Amazon’s downloads are OK? Any format concerns when buying audiobooks?
You can reach me at allancooperstein@gmail.com in case I’m not notified of your posting.
Thanks.

Jenny Lowe says:

+MrJommy is doesn’t have a radio, SD card slot or support .AA (audible). Not only that but not made in USA.

Yukari says:

I can safly say you can only record 9 hours fm radio on the 4gb model

Harsh Pherwani says:

Maybe a dumb question..but is the memory expandable??

David Sanchez says:

really considering getting this for workouts and for my truck, bundled with my fm transmitter.

Carmen Medina says:

Dear Richard, it is probably a very dull question but if it says in the product description that it works on windows 7, does it mean that it also works on windows 8? thanks a lot in advance!

iHATEeverything says:

does it work with mac?

Rebeca Martinez says:

Hello Richard, I loved you review of the Sansa Clip mp3 player and I want to buy it because it has the fm radio recording feature but I clicked on the link you posted to buy it through Amazon and the seller told me it does NOT have the feature to record fm music directly from the device. They say it can only record from another device which makes no sense. Can you reconfirm please?
