If there’s one thing that I hate it’s that the usb slots are dedicated to Aira & Roland gear only. Why the hell would they limit it like that? Besides encouraging people to invest in Roland products only.

Consider the following setup: TR-8 and TB-3 with No DAW. You connect a midi cable between them as well as audio TRS cables to pass the sound. The TR-8 and TB-3 play together fine, remember no DAW. What happens if you introduce a third Aira product say the System-8. How do you sync this to the TR-8 and TB-3 without needing a sync box or MX-1?
