this suffers so HEAVILY from backlight bleeding its crazy, it last for about one year then u need to repair the components, touch problems… would never ever buy this product.

Surface 2 for sure with i7
Let’s be honest. This isn’t even about the hardware anymore. It’s a simple Windows 10 vs. MacOS fight. In that regard, I’ll go with Macbook Air JUST BECAUSE you can bootcamp Windows 10 on it and have access to both platforms. And no, virtual machine MacOS on Windows isn’t going to cut it.
This laptop looks rather nice. However, I already own a Surface Book 2… and I can tell you that I’m pretty unhappy with it.
I’ve owned it for almost a year now and it’s BSODed on me over 2 dozen times. Twice during class; I missed a good 5-10 minutes of notes. It sometimes has screen rotation issues and there was this one instance where the power button wasn’t functioning. Genuinely most of the issues stem from the feature to detach the screen… which, in my opinion, is completely pointless. Other 2-in-1s function without screen detachment, but this one goes the extra mile just to be less efficient than its competitors. Oh, and I forgot to mention that sometimes it simply won’t allow you to detach the screen for… “reasons.” And did I mention the weird 3:2 aspect ratio?
Now, when it does work, which is like 80% of the time, it’s absolutely great. But 20% down time is horrid. I will say that the next 2-in-1 I buy will not be a Surface.

What’s a MacBook?
that’s a lower res than my 2016 Surface Pro 4.
Purchased the cheapest one during Black Friday sale for £779, which is pretty much half of MacBook Air’s price. Even then it has a quad core i5 instead of Macbook’s duo core i5. Shame the black version only comes in 256GB, I just don’t feel extra 128GB storage is worth £300.

Weird no usb c. Should see how that soft material holds up on the surface keyboards it falls apart completely starts ungluing and looks and feels horrible.
