The new G7 is a stunning laptop that has excellent build quality and internal accessibility for an inexpensive gaming laptop. The white and blue colors looks AWESOME. It’s this satin finish with metallic blue accents. Thermal performance is also strong. Good temps and quiet fans on load.

Hello people so im Researching and Looking for a Good Gaming pc to Play and do College Work. My choices right now are between Dell G7 (This One), Lenovo Legion Y520, Dell 15 7000 Gaming. Which one should i go with and if you have any better ones would love to see them.

Dell’s always have the best access to upgrade.

Todd Simone says:

So I heard it depends on the panel if you can OC it or not. Apparently they’re using 2 different ones and there’s no way to know what you’re getting before you buy it.

Schnitzel says:

While i do agree this is a good looking laptop with good specs at its price point, I’m a bit weary on whether i can recommend this to people i know considering my past experiences with my 7567 i5 with a 1050Ti, which I bought little under half a year ago. It has had me calling Dell Tech support at least once a month over things such as driver issues, BSoDs, etc.

Dave, I’m not sure whether as a tech reviewer if companies let you keep the review units but if they do, do the previously reviewed Dell gaming laptops give you driver/software issues and crashes? Is that something normal to expect out of Dell laptops?

Dave Lee says:

The white and blue looks awesome. I obviously LOVE those colors but even if this was nasty black and red, it’d still be a winner. Thanks for watching!

I wanted to pick the white colour but i worry that the white plastic will turn to yellowish after a few year. Should i pick white or black colour?

GsiPodHelp says:

Any chance you could review the G5 and compare it to the G7. Aside from offering an i9 model I don’t see the difference between the G5 and G7.
