Hi,
I’m looking for a laptop light enough for me to carry around. It needs to run AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUP, engineering programs, very well. Big screen, 15″ minimum, but cost factor is big as well. While I love the Macbook pro, it’s too expensive.

What do you recommend?
I’ve been thinking about :
Samsung notebook 9 pro
Dell Inspiron 17 5000
Dell XPS 15

aero 14 beats all of these laptops. long battery life, cool temps, a little noisy fans, great 2.5k screen loud speakers, 1060, i7 7700 HQ, 16gb ram. all for $1,499… perfect

Can someone give me a suggestion for a laptop of ASUS or HP (or any other brands is fine EXCEPT APPLE MACBOOKS PLS) brands that would be great for working with graphic designs projects (AE, AI, PS, CORELDRAW, SONYVEGAS, etc) BUT one that is WITHIN the budget of $620 OR LESS….?

I want to buy a laptop on which i can do good video editing specially for youtube, which processor will you recommend i5 or i7?? dual core or quad core?? and 2 GB graphic card is it enough??

Note: i do have budget constraint that’s why i want a laptop with affordable price. If i5 7th generation can perform well for video editing. I would like to go for that. But if that’s not sufficient i have to increase my budget. So, need your valuable advice.

Boe Dillard says:

I’d be excited if they finally made a LIGHT 17″ laptop to use as a workstation.  I don’t want to game on it.  I don’t want to use it as a boat anchor.   I just want to use it so I can go from office to office and not borrow a monitor and keyboard.   There is always power in the offices but not always peripherals.  I don’t need 52 hours of battery life – just a LIGHT portable workstation.    I imagine a 17″ LG gram would be about 4.2lbs.
