OPPO Digital thought it might be able to take on the consumer-end headphone market and so it released the PM-3. The headphones look great but are they the best headphones you can buy?

I wonder how do these stack up against Master&Dynamic MH40 ?
Sounds like you’re reading from a prompter – i tried these and yes they sound good but way to expensive down under going for nearly twice the price over $600..
Thank you so much for the review!
Is it possible to replace the ear-pads when they wear out?
Hey Quinn. I’m in the market for a new pair of portable over-ear headphones, and ever since I started watching you in 2010, I’ve always found your reviews super helpful, and I find myself in a dilemma… I live in Denmark, and let’s just say that taxes and import fees are pretty crazy here. The OPPO PM-3 seem like the perfect headphone for me, but they’re quite a bit more expensive here, unfortunately. They retail for what amounts to 579 USD in Denmark, and that’s a quite the price. I’ve also been looking at the Denon AH-MM400 that forums say are close to the PM-3’s in sound signature, and those cups are much closer to the American retail price at 435 USD. I have tried the Denon’s and I really like the way they sound, look, and the comfort of them. Unfortunately, I don’t have the opportunity to listen to the PM-3’s before buying, but I can return them if I don’t like them. So here is my question: Should I just buy the OPPO PM-3’s, even though they’re more expensive, or would the Denon’s be the better buy for the money? Hope you can help me, and thanks for being awesome/snazzy! – Jonas
Excellent isolation, excellent sound, excellent portability? I know what my end-game all-arounder is now.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the bowers & wilkins P7 vs these headphones.
How is the mic? Not getting theses for gaming, but if there so good then why not as a second use?
They are too costly for the performance !
wow , pretty favorable review o.o On close back headphones my pick is AKG 550. I would be happy to have some words about how well do they compare, for now Oppo seems easier to drive and more portable (AKG 550 are not portable at all xD).
you kind of need to have a slight roll off in the upper mids otherwise it’ll get sibilant
A ggod review
How do these do on movies?
I have a pair of headphones from smiggle and I love them. I have had them for a long time now. The sound quality of the headphones is amazing and it was like $20-40
Just got the fia eBay. A disappointing bass for 400 dollars. The Philips Fidelio X1 do MUCH better for less, as for bass. And I mean deep bass “Quality signature bass”. The mid and high frequency is nice and clean. Nothing shocking. Overall, I’m not pleased for 400 dollars and China. Anyway, have a nice day.
I have a huge head, tell me I’ll be okay.
Are these with Active Noise cancellation technology?
Koss Pro4-AAs are the best.
What about the audeze sine I’m having a hard time deciding between those to hook with mi onkyo dp-X1
good stuff man im picking some up
First of all u r looking dam cool ! and about the reviews they excellent !!
Is better than ATH-MSR7BK SonicPro?
Wow, you are one of the best headphones reviewers I’ve ever seen. Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge. <3
You said they come in black and white? I’m pretty sure yours are blue!!!!!!..
I need some HUGE HELP SNAZZY! Would you suggest these Oppo pm 3, or the Sennheiser momentum m2 over ear (wired)
I’m looking for some new headphones as my old V-Moda headphones are somewhat broken, and dig into my head. I think I want to try these out. I’ve seen nothing but amazing reviews on them.
The PM-3 are great buy..especially if you add the HA-2 dac.
