Review: CoPilot GPS For Android

Couple weeks ago, we took a close look at an application called “CoPilot for iOS showing how it’s offline GPS capabilities function without a network connection. In this video, we take a look at the same application, but for android. However, this is running an older version of the most up to date one for iOS so not only do we see if this application works, but also the improvements made to the newer version as well as the differences. I set waypoints to drive across country, avoiding interstates and toll roads on a trip I took in the fall of 2016. I stopped at a gas station, took a call and when I started again it had plotted a new route, taking me back to the shortest route. It did not tell me this happened, but a couple of hours later I noticed that it was taking me to an interstate that I would have taken if I wanted a direct route. Basically, it took me on a route that wasted 5+ hours of driving backroads. Piece of shit app. I could have gotten that kind of performance from Google Maps.

I don’t use Android for GPS mainly because they don’t have GPS chips like Apple phones do!

There is a newer version of Copilot currently on the play store which contains a new UI and better performance. Did you update the app? I really like the new UI looks a lot better than the older one.
