JJRC C-Fly X7 SMART GPS Brushless FPV Camera Drone Flight Test Review

This brushless 1080p camera GPS drone is reasonably priced for what you’re getting. Find it here https://goo.gl/twd38U

– Brushless motors
– GPS/GLONASS with return to home and landing capability on command or loss of signal from the controller.
– 1080p camera with remote controlled tilting lens. Video is recorded to an onboard microSD card to eliminate video frame dropping.
– 7.6V 2600mah battery provides over 14 minutes flight time.
– FPV video, telemetry, and advanced flight modes are provided through your smart phone using the “Enjoy-Fly” app available on Google Play here https://goo.gl/qiERTY and iTunes here https://goo.gl/D8CRuR .
– Advanced flight modes include follow me, orbit position, and waypoints.
– Very fast drone when in altitude hold mode.

– The drone uses 802.11ac (fifth generation) WiFi. Not every phone is capable of using this WiFi. First verify that your phone is inded 802.11ac WiFi capable before purchasing.
– Does not seem to return top home and land on low battery.
– No mechanical or electronic image stabilization.
– Enjoy-Fly app crashed on me once during the flight.
– I could not get waypoints mode to work.

MarcRCAddict says:

Cool looking drone but the app seems quite bad to be honest, not very accurate telemetry.

This was suppose to be a cfly quadcopter. I remember seeing it on their website when I purchased my cfly dream jjrc always nicking off other drone companies. Its as if they dont have a r&d department to design thy’re own. Would have raised Cfly profile in the community if they had released it themselves.

Cool drone

Michael Tatom says:

Am I the only one in need of battery connectors and adapters? If I had adapters, I could interchange a lot of the batteries that I already own and use them on more than just one machine. I think it would make a great topic for one of your videos.

W. Smith says:

Could you find a more congested wifi location to fly in? Just to provide control distances where multipal wifi signals are present. That way you could provide city & country control distances.

not first again

Nice drone, I like it. Even the video quality is rather good.

The Banggood advert says it’s return to home kicks in on low battery, it also mentions a LIPO battery, I wonder if your demo model was a first off? Maybe they’ve debugged the software and altered the battery spec for production roll out?
Good report as usual.
Regards. Richard Halliday. Yorkshire.Uk. By the way, you must have heard about the drone disruption at London Gatwick airport? What a carry on!
