GAproductions says:

I have a big power bank that will that ac/DC connection

GAproductions says:

That’s what I dont get why wouldn’t you stabilized the highest res it shoots

DroningON says:

*NOTE: This drone does NOT have GPS and therefore is entirely dependent on its VIO camera, that means NOT flying it above water OR single-texture environments such as a flat grassy field (that said, we’ve flown ours above a grassy field and it holds position fine, as you’ll see). It needs to SEE objects in order to maintain stability. In addition, the app has an INDOOR and OUTDOOR mode, ensure that you set it correctly BEFORE flying. It seems that one early customer of this drone (Danny from ‘The D Show’) hasn’t read the instructions and has shown to slander our channel publicly, therefore has been blocked from commenting further here.*

Armin Wutte says:

Hi, has the drone an anatel certification?
Btw thanks for the good review.

DeadlyDiddly says:

$319 4k but… no GPS, no Tx is “incredibly cheap”? Did you win the lottery Ash?

didactylos4 diddy4 says:

Looks interesting. As we here in the UK aren’t technically allowed to fly UAV’s at night without the mandatory beacons I’m not sure that the indicated problem is all that relevant ( _it may be elsewhere_ ) but other aspects of the Visual inertia system do give me pause for thought.
Go on, test it over water 😉
_Unless you bought it yourself that is. I’m not that cruel_

Kardoso Media says:

Looks like a pretty great little drone

DRONE review man of all drones says:

Wow it folds up so small!!!!
I LIKE IT!!!!!!

ZeroFPV says:

The USB (2) standard only allows 5V @ 500mA. USB 3 up to 900mA. Too little to charge a 2 cell in a reasonable time.

GAproductions says:

You could mod it with a light

Broken Quad says:

Your killing me man, I was thinking about the fairy drone, but this thing seems just as small and just as quiet, hurry up with that flight review !

RDizzle 48 says:

I just spent a whole day trying to catch up to your videos. Im back from staycation.

Aussie Mark says:

Enjoyed this review. Really looking forward to the flight tests

Sam Avella says:

Hi, Can you use any other controller with the drone or do you have to purchase the (very expensive) one that is manufactured by HighGreat?
Thank you….

GAproductions says:

I was hesitant on this cuz I have seen it promoted but wasn’t sure it was legit

Steve Carpenter says:

Hey Ash, thanks for the first look at this new budget minded drone, it will be very interesting to see how it performs indoors and outdoors especially since it doesn’t have GPS. Thank You, will be looking forward to the full reviews and testing.

TheLotoreo says:

Do NOT get this drone. The company managed to have the worst kickstarter campain I have seen so far. While one month delayed and still not shipped to the bakers, the product is already sold in stores for weeks now. Both kickstarter and high great completly stopped communicating with the bakers. Which might be good, because half their comminication was promises which they broke later, but also bad because the wifi of the drone does not connect to most phones of the few bakers which got the drone and they offer no help. Horrible company that does not deserve support!

Back From The Sky says:

As usual great video, I’m surprised they charge more for the black than the red drone. I think for a few more dollars it may pay off to get a DJI Spark.

Uwe K says:

Ad I see it VIO includes optical flow..

Rich Paul says:

Regarding the lack of a USB connector: If I had to choose between a USB charging port or a wall plug port, I would always choose the wall plug. If it only had a USB port, I’d have to concern myself with the hope of a USB device capable of charging the battery, is going to be accessible wherever I happen to be.

I find myself near a power source like a wall outlet, more often than I do an accessible USB port. However, even if I didn’t, the validity of your complaint is still little more than a non-issue at best. I’m not an investor nor do I have any affiliation with High Great, but let’s face it, if this is a problem for anyone, then they’ve gotten far too used to having technology and/or others do the thinking for them.

The present charging port in the MARK can accept a simple ‘USB to AC/DC Adapter plug’ cable. You can buy these almost anywhere and with various additional features if you wanted them. Some Amazon sellers offer them as ‘3-packs’ for under $7.00 (i.e. https://smile.amazon.com/3-Pack-2-1mm-Power-Connector-Cable/dp/B0789BP9ZX?keywords=USB+to+AC%2FDC+Adapter+plug+cable&qid=1536777865&sr=8-1-spons&ref=sr_1_1_sspa&psc=1)

So I really don’t see that as any lack of common sense on the part of the High Great ‘R&D department, though the Marketing department could have included one of those USB to AC/DC Adapter cables in the box with the drone, (that much, I will agree on).

That said, I thank you for Part 1 of the review! It was very good and I plan to move on to part 2 ASAP.
Thank you,

Clive Fpv says:

Looks interesting. Looking forward to part 2

Colski Drones says:

actually the D show reviewed this yesterday and its awful check out his video

Werner Aubele says:

I bought a Mark Drone is a quiet interesting, but, it only flies between 0 to 5000 feet above sea level, over 7000 feet, it barely flies. Over 9000 feet it only flies a few inches over ground. At 10000 feet does not fly. The battery has the same performance. over 7000 feet the run time of the battery decreases, I think High Great must work on high altitude performance. And it just fly in very, very good weather conditions.

pablo9364 says:

What a nice little cool looking drone. And good value . (The glitches work very well. ) looking forward to the flight video

Alexander Sheidin says:

Without a remote is another useless toy…
