Tobin Frost says:

Great video. I’m leaning towards the echo.

Adam Bottjen says:

For the record, I personally like that you have to say something in front of the word Google to activate. You don’t have to say “Ok Google” because “Hey Google” will work just fine. The reason I like this is because on my Amazon Echo the word “Alexia was hit or miss on if it would activate or not. So I changed it to Amazon. It was constantly getting triggered. Now if it would have let me let me say “Hey Amazon” it wouldn’t have been a problem.

Clean your house, you bum

Stev A says:

the reason google made the key word two words, is demonstrated by how many times you said alexa, activating it, when you didn’t mean to. with a two word combo, you rarely would say it, if you were asking google home a question. it’s much smarter. but i think both should allow you to make your own name(s).

What a really great review. It’s a shame though that neither of them use batteries for use in a bathroom environment.

GHN1013 says:

I have both currently as well, and actually both Echo and Home can both read your Google Calendar. However, the Home can only read your main default Google calendar, whereas Amazon can read ALL your Google calendars. Also, and more importantly, only Echo can create new events and reminders to your calendar, while Home can only Read events at the moment. I’m sure the Google Home will quickly catch up, but for now, feature -wise and integration with other devices, then Echo is much better. Google Home is way better at contextual speech though.

stylejam says:

when is the Google comin to the uk

Richard says:

Oh jeez I am Chinese American. The accent was totally off

Naveication says:

you can say “I’m feeling lucky” to play jeopardy on Google home and “repeat after me: ‘_____'” for Simon Says
