Comments

Nazmul Shahadat says:

Do you think YI 4k+ is the best action cam!

john wilks says:

HI is it possible to power on the camera in wifi mode, does it remember the last settings? the reason i ask is because i wish to use it as a bird box camera and control it by applying power to stream the video.

PlayPro Studios says:

“Wet situations”…

Hoan Lee says:

answer of a day: of course, Yi 4k+ is must better with more pro. option as you said but Yi 4k seems like good for the budget and the quality too. I was on amazon about to order the Yi 4k but . . no Camera Housing and have to order it separately with another $49. Now, that’s making me think about pump up to Yi 4k+. great Review as always – Liked. oh, does Yi going to release the 4K – 4k+ – optional bundle soon. want to see review on those. I can wait another week or two. thanks

Hernan Novarini says:

Hi Sean, I would like to ask you how do you upscale from 2.7K to 4K ? thank you.

matt mcgrath says:

Just bought this on amazon prime day for $270. Not a bad deal, eh? You can also get the 4k standard white version for $140, which I was almost tempted to buy instead just cause that’s such a great deal.

TheKenny TV says:

Hey man! Thanks for the video! I’m seriously considering the xiaoyi 4K action camera for filming my workout sessions haha. Anyway, thanks again for the review! 🙂

Franco6328 says:

Hi ,please this YI 4K+ camera action, is best vs Go Pro ?? thank you, from Italy.

Evolve816 says:

Just purchased my Yi 4k Plus over the weekend. I used your video review for my determination. I do some amateur  photography, and I run a lot of races and obstacle courses so this should do well. I got mine for $329.00. I’m looking for a gimbal that works for my phone and Yi, but so far… no dice. Any suggestions?

Michael Ängu says:

the no fish eye effect you mentioned at 2.7k i think it refers to the superview that gopro and a few other actioncams have aswell.

plus it isn’t realy cheap but you didn’t mentioned it is cheap and i think this might be the gorpo killer though

i bet gopro probably adds 4k60fps on the gopro hero6 haha

DaftR92 says:

What should I get? Yi 4k+ or Yi 4k with the Gimbal? Need it now for travel.

izi says:

Do you know how much space is needed to shoot 4K in 30/60fps per minute or hour? Im considering becouse i want to buy this cam and of course i need to buy SD card. And i want to know, are YI 4K compatible with 4K+? Thanks for answer

Mihael Tominšek says:

I have original YI4K: I figured out that I get better IQ out of camera if I shoot 4K and defish in post and still wider view and room for post production stabilisation, if I shoot 2,7K with defish on. I hardly wait to get 60p version to have best of both.

LostTruthRecords says:

Great Channel!

Geeks Life says:

Just curious as to the onboard audio with this camera vs GoPro etc. Would like to use this when out and about on the trails etc, but don’t really want to drag along an external mic if not needed.

PCUser1024 says:

How do you know something is cool if you don’t even know what it is / does?

Roger DM says:

will you recomend the yi 4k plus instead of the gopro hero 5¿

Englashi TV says:

This or Hero 5 Black for 310 Euro?

trialboj says:

SO if it’s equally good as gopro in the same price as gopro, why anyone buy this instead of a well known and trustable gopro?

Jan Peter van Popta says:

why have a waterproof casing on a gimbal, which… isn’t waterproof itself? Btw, those casings for XI suck bigtime.

Pramus says:

If you don’t know what a gyroscope and accelerometer are you shouldn’t be reviewing tech man

Todd P. says:

You forgot to tell us how long the battery lasts, at say ~ 4k at 30fps? Also, why so much sun glare?

dantist06 says:

After updating my 4K+ to firmware 1.1.26 I noticed a “plopping” sound from the speaker every time I turn off the camera. Can you confirm this? When I downgrade to 1.0.18 the noise is gone.

Bogumił Socała says:

Great channel! Subscribe!

Fresh New Tech says:

Nice review! Good looking camera

Shirley Ong says:

Great review! Would you also recommend Yi 4K for diving? I wouldn’t want to spend too much on one as I only dive probably once a month…

TalkTVSeries says:

Is the quality of the footage on the original Yi 4K the same as this?

Edwin Iguina says:

Great review. I think I’m going to go with the original Yi 4K. I don’t see enough differences to justify such a jump in price.
