X-T2

Comments

William Helpley says:

You mentioned that while in the video mode, you were not happy with the mic level on the screen. Does the mic level adjustment not correct this?

aly yusuf shj says:

i’m sorry i wanna ask something…..
i wes set my xt2 to mnual mode,
but exp comp stay on auto….
would u tell me what wrong with that….?

Tomas Av. says:

x-t1 still have better video then canon 5d m3

belldigitalmedia says:

I appreciate your thoroughness. Your review was exactly what I needed. I will also probably wait for the x3 also, but the x2 is pretty impressive. Ditto on the Ursa Mini 4.6.

Jose Ramos says:

If you rely too much on IBIS is because you lack skills man. I can do anything with my X-T2 without the need of IBIS or a (lol)touch screen.

Suzanne Nam says:

awesome, thorough review! answered many of my questions, thank you.

Aaron Peipert says:

Max, what is the body weight with the battery grip attached for the x-t2?

Benjamin Gadberry says:

If ONLY this camera had a fully articulating screen like the GH4. That’s a deal breaker for me.

kingdom777866 says:

I TURNED YOU OFF AFTER 53 SECONDS, BECAUSE YOUR OPENING WORDS WERE ABOUT VIDEO…
WHEN WILL YOU PEOPLE REALIZE THIS IS A STILL CAMERA, NOT A VIDEO CAMERA .. IF I WANT
A VIDEO CAMERA I’LL GO & BUY ONE !!
I WOULD PREFER IT IF THIS CAMERA DIDN’T HAVE VIDEO !!!

Pier-Adam Turcotte says:

I liked the expression “Pulled a Canon” made me laugh. I’m still very happy with the switch coming from Nikon I’m still waiting on some firmware update to be totally happy

Joe Ees says:

You seem more video than photo. I think you left out an achilles heel for all the Fuji X-Trans cameras used for photography – they don’t play well with Lightroom. For those that shoot RAW you either lose detail/quality or you have to go buy another bit of software (Capture One and Silkypix seem to get the most nods) which is more money, and learning a different workflow.

Andrew Cheung says:

Hello Max

I just wanted to ask a couple of things.

I used my Fuji xt2 for filming testimonials for the first time yesterday and noticed when handling the files it seemed to keep splitting the video into around 5min chunks. Is there something I’ve not set properly?

Also which lenses and settings would you recommend for filming?

Luke says:

Just to add, you can use the boost mode without the grip BUT you don’t get the 4k video extended recording limit or the 14 FPS (and headphone jack of course). You still get the autofocus speed & camera operation improvements. Battery life is still good boosted without the grip!

Magic Siew says:

Hi Max, may I know which Gimbal are u using in this video?

voodoohumb says:

thx for this very informativ and professional review!

Twif TV says:

Great review !

ThreeMinuteHeat / 三分鐘熱度 says:

You mentioned about Fuji X-T2 over the Sony A7rII in price point. But what about if comparing Fuji X-T2 vs Sony A7 ii, with the price of Sony A7ii now, it almost same as X-T2. Which one would you pick?
I dont hv any lens at the moment and only use for still pictures (not really into Video), do you think A7ii or X-T2 is more suitable? Is IBIS important ? I mean FUJI lens have Stabilization.

While at it, would you recommend the CANON EOS M5 over the above 2? Thanks

V Baron says:

Max, the major issue with X-T2 is some button controls. Like the mode button on the left – try to switch modes with your finger(s) not with the nail. And even with using this, uncomfortable, way you would not be able to switch modes quickly with precision. Adjusting button on the right of the EVF viewfinder is a hassle too. I have watched literally hundreds reviews and not a single one (you actually briefly alluded to this in the beginning) mentioned this.

Aeonbreak says:

Does your XT-2 unit does a subtle vibration or clunky sound when you move it back and forth horizontally?

JBM Productions says:

what monitor do you use for your gimbal? and do you have a list of them that are reasonable prices for the quality?

Shawn Kelley says:

Great review. Very informative — thanks.

Mr. Poopchillan says:

Gaaah! Your video makes me wanna get this and sell my 5d3 lol

Sebastien P says:

where was the wedding?

teliti rapi says:

I SUSCRIBED

McKeeMediaDesign says:

Great stuff man! Thank you!

Mayx Manga says:

Which camera would you recommend a beginner to get? Fujifilm XT2 or Sony A6300 or maybe other mirrorless cameras?

shaolin95 says:

lol as good as full frame cameras….translation “we will fake our ISO settings too fool customers”! Horrible lie… shame on you Fuji

Henrik Andersson says:
